the big snazzy review

So I finished the saga of the Knight series two days ago and I PROMISED I will make a review of them.

The order goes like so: The Duke, Lord of Fire, Lord of Ice, Lady of Desire, Devil Takes a Bride, One night of Sin and finally, His Wicked Kiss.
Seven FANTASTIC BOOKS! (my favorite is One night of Sin...or Lady of Desire hmm..)

Usually romance books (or at least of what I have read) are about the bastards or by-blows of the father's dalliances. This saga was about the Duchesses dalliances. The reason of her dalliance isn't reveled till the last book.
She caught her Duke with another girl so she went out to find a guy less than her station and have some wicked fun. It is just that she got pregnant. Big booboo. She was denied to so many things and was out casted out of many ton parties and so on because of her son, John, born from another man. Still married to the Duke she sought refuge from a guy she wanted to marry but didn't, due to arranged her arranged marriage. He loved her so that he never married and the Duchess got pregnant again, only with TWINS, Damien and Lucien (lovely sinful names eh?) The Lord and the Duchess had a spat and she left him for a Shakespearian actor, and thus getting pregnant again having Alexander.
The Duke who completely didn't care about his wife's infidelities, just told her do whatever, just do not scandal the family or bring attention. Didn't really work did it?
Later in the years, the Duke got sick and the Duchess ran back to care for him. They made up and had a baby girl, Jacinda (which is a totally fabulous name).

Each boy has their own personality. The first born, Robert is the Duke and is a conservative tish tosh man, due to being raised by his father. John aka Jack, who faced all the gossip and neglection of everyone left the country to become an ex-pirate/captain of his multi-million shipping business. Damien, the elder twin, is a strict war-hero that does not dally around. Lucien is a dirty lil spy who is very very laid back. Alexander, or more commonly called Alec, is the baby boy of the family and gets what he wants when he wants it. He is very fashionable and "the notorious rake of all London." Literally. The baby girl Jacinda wants to "become like her mama," sadly lol, and she is VERY flirtatious, yet all she wants is her very own bad boy to play. Lizzie who is a ward of Robert because her father was a valet for him and died. She became the companion for Jacinda (also to watch over her so she doesn't do any provocative moves to any man) wants to open up her own book store yet she finds her self being tied up to a dark haired man Devlin (fab name, way to go Gaelen with these names).

Each sibling gets their very own personal lover.
Robert gets his feisty wife who became a courtesan, Belinda.. It shocked many people because he swooped down so low to get a woman. the SHOCK. lol.
Lucien, the absolute bad boy, who had a very huge orgy in his own home (like of 30o people...yea) came upon an innocent angel with strawberry blonde hair and bright bright blue eyes, Alice.
Damien, who has nightmares due to him being at war and at every battle found himself with a singer Miranda. She had green eyes and black hair.
Jacinda, finally growing up YET still wanting her bad boy got into trouble and was forced to marry a neighbor (who wasn't old or bad looking, yet is not her TYPE) ran away and stumbled upon her gang leader, Billy Blade. Who is absolutely HOT HOT HOT. Long blonde hair, THE SUPREME bad boy, his whole back and much of his arms are tattooed. I became jealous of her for a moment. She totally deserved him.
Alec, who was denied funds from Robert due to him gambling all the damn time found a girl laying on a doorstep of his friends home. He took care of her and mistaken her for a prostitute. She was only running away from her Russian cousin, who wants to rape her. mmhm. Alec finally knowing the whole story protects her with all this might. I think this is the best book in the series. The baby boy, who relied so much on his big brothers finally did something by himself. This book was the hottest, heart-wrenching, SUSPENSEFUL TURN PAGING book I have read in ages! Total must read (yet read in order lol)
Jack being out of the country and frankly halfway around the world at the west indies finds a girl up in a tree staring at him. They talk and she swings down like a monkey and they click. It is quite hot. She is in Jamaica with her dad and body guard Connor, because he wants to explore and find cures to help people (and mostly because his lovely wife died and could not save her with English medicine.) Her father tells her that they will be going to the Amazon. She does not want to go and she tells her father she really wants to go back to England. He asks why and she said she wants to find a husband she loves. He tells her to marry Conner. She wants NONE of that at all. She found out how brutal and possessive he can get and it scares her. So she runs away into Jack's ship as a stow-away only to fall so much in love with Captain Jack (Sparrow..lol)

It is honestly one of the romance series you have to read.
The only thing I did not like is how Gaelen LOVVES to put drama between the couple at the very few pages of the last chapters of the book. It dwindles the passion and quite frankly makes the book turn sour.
I loved how the books start exactly where the last one ended. There is not years between, it boom boom boom. back to back. I loved that.
Read the series.
I just can't wait for the Spice Trilogy because it intermingles with the Saga!
First book is out in April. I think I might die.

For some reason, I can't read your big review. I get as far as your description of Lizzie and Devlin..and then part of your side bar cuts into your content. *sniffle* I want to read your review!! LOL.

But I'm assuming your review is nothing short of fab, so I'm going to assume that reading this series is a MUST. ;)

Guilty.

I've always used IE, so I don't even know how to use FF even if I wanted to. LOL.

But I'm looking for the series at my local bookstores, so I'll let you know when I've got the other 5 in my possession. :)
